     Matija Kovačević was born on 26 March 1893 at Zvečanje, Dalmatia, daughter of Ivan Kovačević and Marija Martić.1,2,3

Matija married Peter Krcatovich.1 Her married name was Matija Krcatovich.4 Matija Kovačević was also known as Matilda Krcatovich.5 She lived on a farm at Hopkins, Michigan. Her husband died early. The farm has been razed to promote sale of the land.6,1 She died of general severe arteriosclerosis and diabetes mellitus on 29 July 1969 at Allegan Health Center, Allegan Township, Michigan, at age 76. She was indicated as widowed. Her residence at time of death was shown as Rte. 1, Hopkins, MI.4,3 She was buried on 1 August 1969 in the Blessed Sacrament Cemetery located in Allegan Township, Michigan. She was buried from the Gorden Funeral Residence, 528 Trowbridge Street, Allegan, MI 49010 in Lot 33 Grave 3.4,7
